We hope that those of you who came to our Stay and Play Session enjoyed searching for minibeasts in the environmental area and school pond. We found newts, freshwater mussels, water fleas, pond snails, millipedes, beetles, woodlice, slugs, snails and a dragon fly larva to name just a few!
A lady came to visit Ipplepen School and in assembly she told us all about Devon Air Ambulance.
There are only 2 in Devon, they cost over £1,000,000 each.
Peoples lives have been saved because when you are badly hurt they can travel very quickly through the air avoiding all the traffic and reach hospital quickly.
Children have a teddy to fly with them.
The Air Ambulance needs us to think of ways of raising money to help buy equipment and to keep the service going.
On Wednesday Thunder the police dog came to visit us. Miss Boyne is looking after him while he waits for a new police handler.
Miss Boyne and her family trained Thunder when he was just 6 weeks! He’s now 8 years old.
He is very clever and we heard how he can find missing children just by sniffing their clothes.
Lots of us had a little stroke and he was very calm and well behaved.
