Wow! Chestnut Class had a super assembly and cricket session with Mr Partridge from Ipplepen Cricket Club. Special cricket activites for Reception and Year One will be running there after Easter. Please see the flyers in the children’s book bags for more details.
Armed with our super hero capes and our traps to catch Evil Pea we set off to Orley Common to catch that cheeky villain.
On the way we rescued the Super Veggies who had been captured!
Once at the woods we set our traps. After a snack we couldn’t believe it……we had caught loads of peas!
The elusive Evil Pea had STILL escaped us but we found a letter saying he was back at school! Mrs Ellard had found him in her kitchen and she had locked him in her office. He’s now safely in Chestnut Class learning how to behave and be kind to others.
What a fabulous day we’ve had!
We visited every classroom in school to enjoy a short extract from each teachers favourie book. There were fun activities in each class too.
In the afternoon we joined together for assembly and got a chance to see everyone’s wonderful costumes.
Many people won prizes for their costumes and for the extreme reading competition.
I think it was the best World Book Day ever!
